2011 – WORD

Ali Edwards, a well-known scrapbooking guru and all-around creative person, picks a word each year to concentrate on. I heard about it last year and thought, “Brilliant” – I want to do that! So I picked word (literally the word I picked was “word“) you can read more about it here and it will make more sense! The problem is – after I picked my word – I didn’t do anything else. I kinda forgot about it and well – that was it.
This year I’m turning 40 (in January actually) so picking a word that has meaning and reflecting on it (for realsie this time) throughout the year sounds like a good idea to me. I don’t want to be down in the dumps because I’m getting older. I want to use this opportunity to do something great, to grow, to go wild, to try new things, to get out of a rut…to reinvent myself.
To make sure I stay focused on this word or theme or way of life…I signed up for Ali’s new class at Big Picture Classes called “One Little Word”. It’s a year-long, on-line class in which she promises we’ll have opportunities to reflect upon and document the process. I’m excited. (By the way, her word is “light”).
So I ask you – what should my word be? I was thinking Rebirth or Renewal…but I’m not sure either of these capture what I’m after. I’d love to hear your suggestions…
