Valentine’s Day Mantel

It’s a work in progress, but I’ve got a new mantel to share…this one celebrates love just in time for Valentine’s Day.

I love reviving projects I’ve made in the past. All of the items I used this year, I actually made last year including the Hugs and Kisses garland and Valentine’s Lollies….because sometimes life is crazy and there’s just not enough time to make new projects. Sigh. I really wish there was!

I repurposed the white coffee filter  wreath I made at Christmas by changing out the junk bow and put up a couple of my aunt’s old vintage doilies for contrast. The coffee filter flowers with edges dipped in glitter on a real stick from my back yard and pink glitter bird are back just in time for spring (unlike the thousands of doves in my front yard tree, this cute guy is pretty to look at but silent!)

On the other side is my last year’s Target find  – “Be Mine” sign with added bow and the heart canvas I made at Spark two years ago. I added a Parisian-themed candle to get me excited about my upcoming trip abroad this summer with my mom and sisters. Oh la, la!!
