I’m in the mood to craft

Well, Ed left for Dublin today. Sniff. I always feel a little off-kilter (or as my four-year-old says when things aren’t quite right….”scribble scrabble”) when he travels. So we’re all a little sad around here today.

I’ve added a couple more Life List items. These are definitely in an effort to fulfill my need for creativity. Every fall I always get the crafting bug. I love to create and the holiday season is the perfect time to do so.

36. Learn the technique of wool felting
37. Take a Mondo Beyondo class
38. Take Donna Downey’s Fabric class on Big Picture Scrapbooking
39. Attend the Kentucky Derby wearing a big, cool, floppy hat. (not crafty – but cool!)

I’ve heard a lot of good things about Mondo Beyondo…a class to explore your dreams and put your passion to work. I think it sounds fun and the next one starts on October 4th. And I love Big Picture Scrapbooking classes. So cool for paper crafting but this fabric class sounds like a lot of fun. Both classes are pricey – so I’m not sure if I can swing them this year. But there are definitely life list worthy (at least to me, right now!)

I found a fun project I want to try that is a lot less expensive and may help hold me off until I can do some of the heavy hitter stuff. It’s a candy corn wreath on the cover of this month’s Woman’s Day magazine.I bought two bags of candy corn to prepare for the project – but we’ve polished them off already. After I replenish my supply and get the other items – I’ll show you my finished product.
